Credit Hire

If you are in a road traffic accident that is not your fault you may be entitled to the provision of a "similar sized" or "suitable for your needs" replacement vehicle. For example if you have a large family and drive a MPV you should not have to settle for a small 3 door vehicle to use whilst your own vehicle is being repaired.

Equally some customers are not entitled to a replacement if theirs is deemed a total loss. This can create substantial problems especially if your vehicle is also deemed to be un-roadworthy.

The majority of UK insurers now offer their clients the opportunity to have an upgraded vehicle provided by one of their partners.

We also share this view and accordingly we will look when appropriate to provide you with a "similar sized" vehicle. The provision of a "similar sized" vehicle is known as Credit Hire, and the costs incurred are paid by the "at fault" insurer.
